PAIN CONTROL: SnowWorld 3*
Imprint is creating virtual worlds specifically designed for clinical therapies and research. Doctors are seeing exciting results using immersive VR for pain reduction. The key to success is virtual worlds which are highly engaging and deliver a strong sense of immersion and presence. |

Experience SnowWorld 3 at the National Design Triennial: The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. September 28 2007 to January 6, 2008
Find it listed under psycologist and VR researcher, Dr. Hunter Hoffman.
''SnowWorld'' puts Pixar-like animation to medical use in a virtual video game that relieves the pain of burn victims. Try it. It is completely absorbing to pelt woolly mammoths and penguins with snowballs while your ears are filled with the irresistible strains of ''Graceland.''
